Our Legacy & Gandhi's Visit
In 1921, Mahatma Gandhi visited our founder Kalaithanthai Karumuttu Thiagaraja Chettiar’s home. Here the famous 'loin-cloth incident' occurred—Gandhi vowed never to wear a shirt again, symbolizing his solidarity with the laborers’ plight. Since then, Sona has carried forward his values of empathy and empowerment.
